THE EXPERIENCE

This moderately paced journey is designed for a deep exploration of the art, history, and culture of Belgium and the Netherlands. Together we'll trace the extraordinary artistic revolution that began with the Northern Renaissance through the masterpieces of Jan van Eyck, Hans Memling, Pieter Bruegel, and Peter Paul Rubens before arriving at the Dutch Golden Age of Rembrandt and Vermeer (yes—including Girl with a Pearl Earring). Our journey concludes with the bold innovations of modern masters such as René Magritte, Piet Mondrian, and Vincent van Gogh.

Along the way, we'll explore beautifully preserved medieval cities, cruise the picturesque canals of Bruges and Amsterdam, stroll through the spectacular spring blooms of Keukenhof Gardens, and visit some of Europe's finest museums, including the Rijksmuseum, the Mauritshuis, the Kröller-Müller Museum, and the Van Gogh Museum. An evening concert at Amsterdam's world-renowned Concertgebouw adds another memorable cultural dimension to our journey.

While your tour leader, Sevan Melikyan, brings the art and history to life through engaging stories and historical context, his wife Maria ensures there is ample time to enjoy the pleasures of the region—from Belgian waffles, beer, and moules-frites to cozy cafés, local specialties, and opportunities to browse charming boutiques or simply wander at your own pace.

The tour group size is intentionally limited (maximum 14 travelers) to create a relaxed atmosphere, foster meaningful conversation, and allow for a richer, more personal travel experience.
